16' diameter, 13' tall Geodesic Silo Dome with 222 square feet of floorspace.
The greenhouse film is attached to every hub using the Dual Covering Hubs.
Doorway with transom at the top of the door for ventilation.
The wooden doorway posts are supported by blocks on the ground.
The struts pass through the doorway posts to keep
the foundation ring intact, which makes the dome much stronger.
The 1" Schedule 40 PVC pipe struts are melted with a heat gun
or other device and attached to the doorway with wood screws.
The ends of the pipe are bent upward to serve as coat hangers.
A pallet protects the entrance from becoming a muddy path.

What an absolutely brilliant way to add a doorway to the dome!
Good job, Doug!
New Pictures!
Hi John,
I have an update of my greenhouse dome, pictures are attached.
I added a transom window and two other windows. I also run a 10x20 70% shade cloth.
The double windows are facing SE and SW. All windows are screened in on the inside.
I was having issues with it getting too hot , 120+ degrees.
With the windows open and shade cloth it seems to peak around 92 now.
It's my first year really utilizing it and my strong tomato seedlings just were planted out.
Enjoying the dome it's a peaceful pleasant feeling inside.
Thanks will send future updates!
Doug
