Hello!
We had three lodges. They were ‘mild’ by most standards and the last sweat was to be the ‘all rock’ sweat but we had a typical central plains thunderstorm and cancelled due to lightening.
I can report that everything went exceptionally well. The set-up brought laughter and joy as the ‘elders’ had flashbacks of their Tinkertoy days. They had fun. The structure was able to handle the weight of the tarps without any question. We probably could have put 4 or 5 layers of tarps on with no worry of weight concerns. (Would never do that as lodge needs to breathe)
In the future when we have more sweats we will be able to give you more feedback on the ability of the PVC to handle the heat.
We are very pleased and excited we can hold our ceremony without having to risk our elders’ safety hunting willows.
I’ll send pics shortly.
Thanks so much for everything.
Ellison
