Hi John,
Our dome is up and I think it has been a fantastic addition to our exhibit! The dome itself went up in a breeze, so thank you so much for all your help. It took a little work (okay, maybe a lot!) to figure out how to project on a domed surface but we figured it out in the end. We have the “Immersion Room” as we’re calling it playing clips from notable women throughout history. For example, people can see interviews with women like NASA engineer Katherine Johnson and singer Aretha Franklin, and they can see historic footage from marches during the Women’s Liberation Movement and acceptance speeches by female candidates for vice-president and president. I think it’s pretty cool!
I have included a couple of pictures and a short video. Because the dome is so large it is hard to do it justice with a phone camera and for some reason the video didn’t pick up the full brightness of the room, but it should be enough to give you an idea of how we’re using it. We have plans to reuse the dome for our 2021 exhibit line up.
Is there a place where I can leave a good review for ziptiedomes.com? I would love to do so. You have been great to work with!
Thanks,
Kevin
