"Hey Carolyn.
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you guys. I love my dome. It's already served me so well for what I need it for. I am a live painter that travels to numerous festivals around the nation. I was looking for a dome that was quick to setup, light, and durable and most of all, affordable. You zip tie dome has been perfect for all these needs. The instructions were easy enough, and it took me and a couple friends a little less than an hour to erect it.
The first time I set it up I didn't have a proper cover for it, but will for the setups to come. I got a 16ft diameter parachute to cover my dome but as I learned, this does not really equate to the actual diameter of the dome. As you can see in the picture, the parachute only covered the top 30%. The parachute has to be significantly larger than the dome. I haven't found a tried and true ratio yet, but will share it with you guys when I do.
I also wanted to include some photos that were taken of my dome in the environment I was using it for.
The zip ties are really quick and easy to use, but I am on the lookout for a better reusable method as I am not using this structure permanently. I was thinking about trying bailing wire as I can simply twist and untwist and reuse.
I love my dome though and will recommend it to whoever asks about domes.
Thank you so much for the wonderful customer service and true interest in your customers' experience. Let me know if you have any other questions for me or if I can help provide you with any more or more specific feedback.
I wear a size Medium and will gladly sport a shirt for you guys and tell everyone about my experience.
Also, I wish I had more and better pictures to share with you guys. I setup the dome to look and feel like a living room, complete with rugs, coffee table, mood lighting, and couch, something inviting for the festival patrons to feel inclined to come relax and enjoy the painting.
A pretty wild environment to have plopped in the middle of the forest.
Thank you again.
Sincerely with love and blessings,
Matthew Koscica
