Let us know what you intend to do before you make your first hub, and if you are reasonable, then we can issue a limited license to you in exchange for pictures of your completed project.

This offer is especially made for any DIY person that is designing a new or novel type of structure using our patented hub design.

But please consider purchasing one of our "Hubs Only" kits at $130.00. Your purchase supports us, and keeps us in business for others that do not have DIY skills.

Also, by the time you setup your shop to make your own hubs, determine the correct bit sizes, lengths, and geometry of the hubs, purchase the correct size zip ties, pipe and other supplies for fabrication, drill and cut your hubs, etc. - if your personal time is worth anything at all, then it is much cheaper to buy your hubs from us than to make the hubs yourself in a one-time run.

In return for a picture of your dome, we will issue you a limited license to use our design.

This offer is especially intended for those that need cheap housing by making their own custom hubs, or have valid financial reasons for making their own hubs.

Here is why you need to send us a picture in exchange for a limited license.

If we were to sell our patent to another company, we would be obliged to notify the patent buyer that you already had a limited license with us. This protects you from being sued at a later date by anyone that purchases our patent, or a franchise of our patent.

Also, to maintain the validity of our patent, we have to actively enforce our patent rights. This means that we, or any future owner of our patents, will be legally required to prevent anyone else from violating our patent.

Do the right thing, and work with us before you start your project.

For Those that Plan to Steal our Idea.

On November 26th, 2013, the United States Patent Office issued our company US Patent #8,590,216. This patent grants us a legal monopoly to manufacture, market, and determine who can use our hub design.

By US Law, no other person in the United States can legally make our hubs, even for their own personal use, without breaking the laws of the United States.

Also, we have a legal right, backed by a warrant from your local sheriff, that we can demand that our hub design be removed from your geodesic structure, even if you have built all of the parts by yourself.

We also have a legal right that our hub designs be removed from any purchased geodesic dome that was manufactured illegally, even if the customer was unaware of the legal status of the hub design at the time of the purchase.

This would not be a good outcome for anyone.

If you intend to start a small business by making your own domes using our hub design, sooner or later, one of your customers will try to re-sell the dome on Ebay, Etsy, or Craig's list, which we monitor.

Our US Patent is effective until the year 2032, and we intend to enforce our patent rights during this time.

When we find out that someone has infringed our patent, I will turn this matter over to an attorney in the person's local area, even if my damages were slight.

The Patent Infringer will have to pay my damages, my attorney's fees, and all court costs, because a US Patent is a legal document that is prima facia evidence in a court of law that we are the legitimate owners of this intellectual property. This case will be a very easy "win" for any local attorney in your area.

You will also have to pay damages to everyone that has been your customer, as their illegal hubs will have to be removed from their domes.

Just don't do it.

I would like to "stay friends" with as many people as possible.

But for those that seek to profit against us in an illegal manner, you should know that I am required to enforce my rights in a court of law to maintain the validity of my patent.
